Below is a specification of how to use the User1st accessibility software that allows fixing the code, configuration and content of these websites:
1. Profile / abilities of users needing to use a screen reader. Several abilities are set out for your convenience:
- Before operating the software: There are directions for using the software when entering the page and at the top of the page.
- After operating the software: Shortcuts to the top of the page will be added inside the page itself.
The software will alert you when it starts to operate. You should wait for the page to completely upload for every page displayed to you. - There are two menus at the top of the page: A map of the page, and a map of the website where you can navigate directly to the desired areas / pages.
- You can use keyboard shortcuts – see the Keyboard shortcuts section.
2. After operating the profile / abilities of users requiring keyboard navigation or keyboard-simulating aids:
- Shortcuts will be added at the top of the page itself. Press the Tab key to find them.
- There are two menus at the top of the page: A map of the page, and a map of the website where you can navigate directly to the desired areas / pages.
- Continue to use the Tab key to move to the next area/element, Shift + Tab together to return to the previous area/element and Enter to operate the element or enter the area. Press the arrows to select area with multiple selection and Space for selection.
- The software will alert you when it starts to operate. You should wait for the page to completely upload for every page displayed to you.
- You can use keyboard shortcuts – see the Keyboard shortcuts section.
3. After operating the profile / abilities of users requiring color changes:
- Monochromatic color changes: The website's colors will change when the page has finished uploading, note that this can also be useful for users using the Microsoft Desktop colors inversion.
- After operating the profile / abilities of users requiring assistance.
- Additional information will appear when you focus on elements, for a description of the element's nature.
You can build the profile for yourselves, instead of relying on an existing profile.
4. Keyboard shortcuts:
0 – Shortcut to the accessibility menu.
2 – Shortcut to the central area of the page.
3 – Shortcut to the website map area.
4 – Shortcut to the search area.
S – Shortcut to the page map.
