The complainant's father was found eligible for assistance in rental payment. In her complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman, the complainant pointed out that in December 2022 she had filed an application for her father for rental assistance via the M.G.A.R company. Since in the course of eight months her application had not been handled, she filed another application via the Amidar company, and this application was handled and approved in April 2023.

The complainant requested the assistance of the Office of the Ombudsman in receiving the rental payment retroactively, from the time of filing the original application.

The Office of the Ombudsman pointed out to the Ministry of Construction and Housing that the complainant had filed the original application, and provided all the necessary documents, at the end of September 2022, but her application had not been handled. Following the Office's intervention, the Ministry of Construction and Housing approved retroactive rental assistance for the father, from October 2022.

The complainant thanked the Office of the Ombudsman.
