State Comptroller Englman: "This is a grave tragedy, the loss of three children. It is inspiring to observe that parents, even amidst their profound grief, recognize the significance of fostering a unifying discourse within Israeli society as a whole"
State Comptroller and Ombudsman Matanyahu Englman, offered his condolences today (Thursday, March 5, 2026) to Yitzhak and Tamar Biton, the parents of the late Yaakov, Avigail, and Sarah, who tragically lost their lives in the Iranian missile blast in Beit Shemesh.
Jerusalem Mayor, Moshe Leon, also attended the condolence visit, which took place at the Jerusalem hotel to which the family had been evacuated.

Throughout the day, the State Comptroller visited additional hotels accommodating residents whose homes were damaged during Operation Roaring Lion.
The State Comptroller also plans to inspect the site of the missile strike in Tel Aviv as well as public shelters within the city.
