The Comptroller gave the students and teachers a survey of the activity of the Office of the State Comptroller during times of routine and emergency: Reports dealing with the Swords of Iron War, the activity of the Office of the Ombudsman, and the routine State Audit work
The State Comptroller and Ombudsman Matanyahu Englman visited (Wednesday 28.1.26) the Leyada school (Hebrew University High School) in Jerusalem and gave a lecture to the 11th grade students. During the lecture, the Comptroller gave the students and teachers a survey of the activity of the Office of the State Comptroller during times of routine and emergency: Reports dealing with the Swords of Iron War, the activity of the Office of the Ombudsman, and the routine State Audit work.
The Comptroller told the students about the audits that the Office is conducting and the need to rectify any defects that arise in them. "The importance of the audit is to indicate the gaps in the conduct of government bodies in times of routine and emergency. It is extremely important to make the audit findings accessible so that they reach as many people as possible. Our office avails itself of innovative audit tools as part of the audit process. One of the goals of the audit is to spur the audited bodies into action and rectify the defects".
