Matanyahu Englman, the State Comptroller and Ombudsman, welcomed MK Alon Schuster, the incoming chairman of the Knesset's State Audit Committee, to his office.
State Comptroller Engelman, the Director of the Ombudsman's Office, and the directors of the audit divisions briefed MK Schuster on the Office's activities, particularly focusing on ongoing audits related to the failures of October 7 and the Swords of Iron War, and on the investigation of complaints during the war.
"The state audit holds significant relevance within the democratic framework of the State of Israel. The State Audit Committee engages in discussions and prioritizes critical issues on its agenda, informed by the reports of the State Comptroller", stated State Comptroller Englman. "I extend my gratitude to MK Alon Schuster for his willingness to collaborate, with the aim of rectifying deficiencies to enhance the operations of the audited entities and to elevate public service in Israel".
