On September 17, 2025, State Comptroller and Ombudsman Matanyahu Engelman toured Mount Hermon together with OC Northern Command Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, Director General Brig. Gen. (res.) Yishai Vaknin, Head of the Defense System Audit Division Brig. Gen. (res.) Eitan Dahan, and members of his staff.
During the visit, Maj. Gen. Milo and his team presented a comprehensive security overview regarding the challenges faced by the IDF in safeguarding the residents of Israel’s northern region.
Comptroller Engelman stated: "The visit underscored the many challenges in the Syrian Hermon area. The IDF’s operational preparedness in this region is of utmost importance."
