The Czech Republic State Comptroller visited Israel: "We strengthened cooperation between the audit institutions"

The Czech Republic State Comptroller, who also serves as President of the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI), met with the State Comptroller and Ombudsman Matanyahu Engelman

The Czech Republic State Comptroller, Miloslav Kala, visited Israel at the beginning of this month (September 4th - 7th, 2022). Kala also serves as President of the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI), a position to which the State Comptroller and Ombudsman Matanyahu Engelman will enter in 2024.

The purpose of the visit was to promote relevant collaborations, to deepen the sharing of knowledge between the two audit institutions, and to strengthen international ties. As part of the work meetings, the countries' comptrollers discussed in detail EUROSAI's future strategic plan, which Comptroller Engelman is expected to implement upon assuming the position of the organization's president. The two comptrollers and their teams also discussed the EUROSAI International Congress, to be hosted by Israel in 2024.

During the visit, Kala met with the Director General of the State Comptroller and Ombudsman Office, with the directors of the audit divisions and with the Director of the Public Complaints Commission. The Czech comptroller also toured the 105 Hotline of the National Child Online Protection Bureau, the technology company Mobileye and the SOC offices of the Airports Authority. "I am happy that we were able to share our experience and that we further strengthened the cooperation that already prevails between our audit institutions", lauded Kala at the end of his visit to Israel.
