The Office of the Ombudsman recently held (21.6.18) a festive event to mark the publication of the 44th Annual Report of the Office of the Ombudsman. The event was attended by all the personnel of the Office of the State Comptroller and Ombudsman, including from state audit departments, office headquarters and management.
In the course of the event, speeches were made by the State Comptroller and Ombudsman, Judge (ret.) Joseph Haim Shapira, the Managing-Director of the office, Mr. Eli Merzel, and the Director of the Office of the Ombudsman, Dr. Esther Ben Haim. The event was concluded by a panel on the subject "Different aspects of the exercise of disabled persons' rights", presided over by Ms. Michal Ronen, Adv., in which the Director of the Office of the Ombudsman, Dr. Esther Ben Haim participated, as well as representatives from the Office of the State Comptroller, the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Counseling and Legislation Department in the Ministry of Justice and the Committee for the Advancement of Persons with Disabilities in the Israel Bar Association.
