We are pleased to invite you to participate in an international webinar on the topic:
"Covid-19 and the Ombudsperson - Rising to the Challenge of a Pandemic". The webinar will take place on Tuesday, 24 November 2020 at 14:00 - 16:00 (CET).
The Covid-19 pandemic has posed many challenges for institutions and organizations worldwide working to protect the rights of the individual, and in particular the rights of vulnerable populations. Ombuds institutions are no exception. This webinar invites you to learn about the ways Ombuds institutions across the globe have coped and are still coping with the enormous social and economic problems generated by the pandemic, and to share the experiences of your own institution.
We would be glad to have you share with us, via video intervention, the ways which your organization has dealt with the pandemic. Due to the limitations of the online format, you are invited to send us pre-recorded video interventions of up to 3 min duration, to be received by 10 November 2020. Kindly let us know by 2 November 2020 if you wish to send us an intervention, and whether the intervention will be in English, Spanish or French. The webinar will be conducted in English, with simultaneous interpretation into Spanish, French and Arabic. A link for registration to the webinar can be found HERE.
