Today (7.7.2020), the State Comptroller and Ombudsman, Mr. Matanyahu Englman visited Israel Fire and Rescue Commission. As part of his visit, the Comptroller heard a review about the Commission’s routine activity and its activity in times of emergency, the equipment it has at its disposal, the progress it makes in its different areas of activity and the challenges it faces.
During his tour, the Comptroller visited the Commission’s control center and the facilities of the National Fire and Rescue Academy. Among other things, the Comptroller experienced the use of a crane reaching high floors and the simulator used by fire fighters to simulate real fires in different facilities and scenarios.
As part of his visit, the Comptroller talked to various office holders of the Commission who told him about the Commission’s work. In a review held during the visit, the Fire and Rescue Commissioner, Dedi Simchi, told the Comptroller that the Commission attaches great importance to the State Comptroller’s reports which he uses as tools for improvement of the organization’s work.
