New
Director General appointed to the State Comptroller's
Office
On May 16, 2001, Mr. Mordechai Bas began his term
as the new Director General of the State Comptroller
's Office. Mr. Bas, Adv., was born in Israel and
is 49 years old.
He is a graduate of the Hebrew University Faculty
of Law in Jerusalem. Prior to his appointment as
Director General of the office, he served as the
Legal Advisor of the State Comptroller, for a period
of twelve years. Beforehand, he practiced law as
a private attorney.
